Hey all, for those of you who are here for your weekly dose of zilizopendwa, don’t forget to read and comment on recruitment woes . . .

Things are not looking too great this week: we are all a little ill and we have BIG weekend plans so I will be brief and get back to life away from the keyboard.

Two tracks this week.

Orchestra Mangelepa – Embakasi

Orchestra Mangelepa

East African rhumba circa 1970/1980 Orchestra Les Mangelepa – Embakasi

Next, Jamhuri Jazz in Wasi Wasi Ondoa

Jamhuri Jazz

East African rhumba circa 1970/1980 Jamhuri Jazz – Wasi Wasi Ondoa

Strictly for fun:

+ You have to love the power of the Internet to deter crime.

+ Bro, ukiwa hauna dough, utachonga viazi.
Basically, if you have a good time and can’t pay that bill, you will definitely “peel potatoes“. (This is why I love YouTube!).

+ My contribution to this meme, I am in ur tubes, emptying ur internet. (For an explanation, go here).

I am in ur tubes emptying ur internets . . .

+ Your kid wants you to join CA aka Crackberry Anonymous: I wish this piece was in the Onion but it is not!

+ Binyavanga Wainaina: On being a babi.

Click here for all the other pre-1990 East African music I have posted in the past.

. . . and remember the rules people.

I have written before to let you know that most of your links do not play anymore, at least with Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11

A typical message is below. Try Orchestra Les Mangelepa – Embakasi link to see it.

    hi Ochan.

First off, thanks for visiting and sharing on the music.

Pole ndugu: since the early part of this year, tracks only stay up for a week (maybe 2 on the outside) as I described in this post thanks to the fact that I could not keep supporting internet broadcasting sites that were using my site to stream music.

Long story short, if you would like a track, post a comment and let me know. I will repost it in a little while when I have a post covering just requests.
