+ The race for the White house goes racial.

+ Bizarro 2.0. And his mum insists that “We know he’s not a criminal,” – “He’s a good kid.”

+ Bridezilla! And apparently, there is even a show and a book about them!

I just listened to Baba Gaston’s Kakolele Viva Christmas for the first time since the late seventies. YOU FLOORED ME! Thank you very much. keep this site alive.

I will keep posting the music as long as there is still someone to listen to it.

A great site you have here. Could you post for us Baba Gaston’s “Ilunga Ilunga” and “Zai-Zai”. I have looked everywhere without sucess for those two great hits. My other BEST HITS I have failed to hear since the 70′s is “LOKWA” composed I think by Lutulu Kaniki. Any chance of that?
    Cheers.

Look for Ilunga Ilunga in the next couple of weeks. Zai Zai I do not have.

  3. [...] Matt also has an end of year recap post – 2006 Rewound podcast – that contains the African tracks that listeners liked best in 2006 on Matsuli. But hurry as it will disappear soon. I also carried an end-of-year round up reviewing the most popular tracks on ntwiga.net for 2006. [...]

Nice to read that my favourite Shauri Yako is still a succes.
I collected African music on MP3 but one day the computer swallowed them all during a wrong installment. They’re hard to find, so keep on going.

Nothing like a hungry computer to make one thing about what backups are all about.

I lost a ton of music about a month ago in an install gone wrong and I learnt about the backup. Now, I have so many DVD copies of my stuff all over the place that I stopped being afraid of my laptop.

Could you please repost Baba Gaston “Kakolele Viva Christmas”? I just discovered your website hence missed the last time you posted it. Where can I get the music on CD? Baba National was great!

    Christian, thanks for dropping by.

Like I mentioned in the last comment, I will do an all-request post this coming Friday so look out for it then!
