I am back home. Thank you all for your kind comments and for taking the time to express your sympathy and thoughts via email and over the phone. We really appreciate it.
Too many tracks this week to have all the artists go into the title. I plan to have a couple of catch-up posts before next week to make up for the fact that it has been two weeks since we had music up here so check back in often to see whats up.
Vinyl to mp3 conversion has not yet began, I am in the process of picking up a good machine with a decent tape deck and turntable. I will keep you all posted on progress.
While I work on that, back to regular scheduled programming.
Fundi Konde
Some artifact issues towards the end plus some dancing around – probably the needle enjoying the music so much that it decided to dance. Anyone with a better copy can send it in and I will update the site.

More in a bit …

Welcome back Steve. Glad to hear that all is well again.
Can’t wait for the golden oldies that you picked up in the labyrinths of river road!!!!!! I have a turntable and u r welcome to use it to speed up the process.
Oops! You’ve labeled the last one wrong… you have Les Wanyika as the artist, Simba Wanyika as the picture and the title from I don’t know where. But the artist is Issa Juma and Wanyika Stars and the song is Mpita Njia.

Sorry I put my request in the wrong place. I really need the song Macho yako vizuri mama!….Kiri ee! Kiri oh! Kiri Kiri Kiri Kiri Kiri mama! What’s the name of the song and who sang it? Have you ever heard of a song Mayolande? It’s a 50′s or 60′s Franco, very very good. If you can throw that in with Veya and Moni Afinda, you will make my day.
nadina poa. Reminds me of Sunset Bar in Chepalungu. Vet. and the wild nights.Yeah Moni Afinda was the rythm alright in high school…
Good sound recording Steve.
